Founded in 2012 and based in Greater Manchester, TinderBox provides outsourced energy management services to business. With a client base that spans the North, TinderBox serves businesses of all sizes, from SME’s to FTSE100’s.

TinderBox is for businesses that need to manage their energy spend more effectively in an era of rising energy prices. Our solutions are designed to increase profits by reducing energy overheads. Our approach is to build lasting relationships with our clients, based on mutual trust, integrity and collaboration.

DAMIAN BURTON

Managing Director

Damian is a Chartered Energy Manager with sixteen years industry experience. He has held positions in the UK and overseas with Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Coffey International, Golder Associates and Wardell Armstrong. Most recently with United Utilities, he managed a £60m annual energy portfolio, leading on energy efficiency programmes, compliance and renewable energy deployment. At the Northwest Regional Development Agency, he led on Northwest England’s first climate change action plan, managing a £23m programme of regional energy activities.

Damian chairs the Energy Group of Manchester’s climate change action plan, Manchester: A Certain Future. He holds degrees from Imperial College London and Manchester University.
